Dr. Margaret Palmer, Professor and Director of the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, is an expert on watershed science and restoration ecology.
She has worked on streams, rivers, and estuaries for 25 years leading scientific projects at national and international levels.
She has particular expertise on the role and functions of headwater streams and wetlands.
