Catchment Restoration Fund for England Launched

Funding is available to charitable organisations to carry out projects in England that will restore rivers, lakes, wetlands, estuaries, coastal habitats and their surrounding landscapes to more natural conditions.

Also recently published is a programme of WFD delivery projects being taken forward this year with a total value of £18m. Delivery partners include the Environment Agency, Natural England, The Rivers Trust, The Wildlife Trusts, Coal Authority and Local Action Groups.

 

All of this funding is part of the £92m funding announced in April 2011 with a primary purpose of helping to achieve Water Framework Directive goals in England.
