WaterDiss2.0 workshop on evaluating the effects of river restoration

Within the International conference ISRivers, held last June in Lyon, France (www.graie.org/ISRivers), as part of the activities of the FP7 project WaterDiss2.0, CIRF organised a workshop on "Estimating and monitoring the effects of river restoration measures". Three main topics were tackled: the ecological effects or river restoration, the use of models to predict the effects of river restoration measures, the assessment of benefits of river restoration through the ecosystem services and other approaches.

The discussion was supported by the presentation of some of the main results of recently concluded EU reasearch projects, namely WISER, EURO-LIMPACS, RIPFLOW, AQUAMONEY.
